Sandstone cleaning

This is a Sandstone floor that we deep cleaned and impregnated.
As you can see from the video the stone is beautiful. It was really nice doing this job and seeing the fossils and the natural stone markings once we had finished

Testimonial from Slate restoration

Apologise everyone, this is the short testimonial video we shot with Mrs Short from the Slate floor restoration that was featured in the previous post.
Sorry I had to put it in a new post, I uploaded the wrong video!

Slate floor retoration

Hey everyone and welcome to another blog post from Plymouth Stone Care.
I wanted to share this video with you as our client was over the moon with the finished work.
It was a polished slate flooring and our client wanted it deep cleaned with the high gloss finish put back on it.
Now i always advise people with slate flooring to have it deep cleaned and then impregnated to protect the stone from spillages. To get a shine on it you have to put on a sealer, the problem with sealers is, although the floor came up nice and shiny, that after a while the seal will start to come off the floor in patched. Most effected areas will be where you walk the most. So you will have to re-seal it every year.

I always prefer to see slate looking the way it should, clean and natural and not necessarily with a high gloss on it. Although we did it on this job both ourselves and the client were very happy with it.

Enjoy the video, sorry for the poor sound quality.

Cyprus trip 2011

Hello everyone,
I was very lucky to spend some time in Cyprus recently with my family.
We took a day trip to Northern Cyprus which was simply beautiful.

Walking around we found a brilliant little rug shop owned by a lovely guy called Cem.
I could of spent all day with him in his shop. He was an amazing fountain of knowledge and his collection of rugs were beautiful, and I could of bought all his rugs back with me!

Here are some of the photos that I took over there.
Thank you Cem for looking after us and the drink!

Once again thank you for taking the time to read my blog.
